APPROACH:
Dr. Austin enjoys focusing his treatments around exercise and acts of daily living by incorporating alternative movement patterns to help reduce pain or aid in preventing potential injuries or awkward postures. Dr. Austin has worked with athletes on the sidelines at multiple sporting events including football games, track and field, and synchronized figure skating. He also has experience working with both spinal and extremity injuries, with a special focus on the TMJ (jaw) post head injuries. Dr. Austin has further credentialing with kinesio-tape applications, blood flow restriction training, and additional CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) from the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians. Dr. Austin’s main goal is to help you move more often with decreased pain and increased confidence! AREAS OF SPECIALTY:
ABOUT: Dr. Austin Nolan grew up in the town of Lawton, Oklahoma. After high school he attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained his Bachelor’s in health and exercise science with a minor in psychology. Shortly afterwards he moved to Portland to attend the University of Western States where he graduated with his Doctorate in Chiropractic and Masters in Sports Medicine and continued to treat patients in the same part of town. PERSONAL INTERESTS: In his free time, Dr. Austin enjoys getting outside to a new landscape, kayaking around, eating his way through the city, cooking challenging recipes (frequently Thai), and watching any Oklahoma based sport. |
